Jo De Bruyn, HoGent, Belgium

Jo De Bruyn, lic. German Phil (RU Gent) and post-univ. courses Marketing and sales Ehsal (Brussels), has a wide experience in marketing & communications. He started In different Belgian communication agencies as a direct marketing expert & client director. In 1996 he founded In Concreto, a no-nonsense communication agency specialized in action marketing. From 2014 Jo is also leading the DM Institute, a community of 300 direct and digital marketeers in Belgium in order to inspire each other with clear cases and workshops. From 2015 Jo is also lector for Direct & Digital Marketing courses for all the marketing communication students of HoGent. He is an interactive coach in order to create the right atmosphere to give each other deep insights and creative, inspiring point of views. His motto: All communication should add to your business-goals.

Joep

Joep Peeters, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands

After having worked in several marketing and sales positions in the fmcg industry Joep Peeters has been lecturing at Fontys University of Applied Sciences since 2016. He holds a master’s degree in Imagineering(Business Inoovation) and a BA in Marketing from BUAS. Joep strongly believes in creating applied learning experiences for his students where theory is always in service of application. With his students he works closely together with various industry partners towards creating inspiring campaings. Very much like in the Ad Venture competition. As a juror Joep values teams that are able to turn data into insight that leads to campaigns that inspire and are effective.

Katrina Encanto, MullenLowe London, The United Kingdom

Katrina comes with more than a decade of global experience working in the Philippines, Italy, Thailand, and the UK. As Creative Director at MullenLowe London, she drives the creative work for the global Sloggi account with her partner EJ Galang. Apart from her main responsibilities on Sloggi, she also works on Unilever, Amstel, as well as several local accounts and advocacies. She is part of the team behind Redraw The Balance, a campaign that has gained global attention for its effectivity in highlighting gender bias at an early age. It has been recreated by the UN, the NHS and organisations all over the world. Throughout her career, she has produced outstanding work that has been recognised with top awards at D&AD and Cannes Lions, among others. In 2017, she was named as one of 30 Future Leaders by Campaign and Creative Equals.

Olivia Dickinson, Let Toys Be Toys, The United Kingdom

Olivia has volunteered for the Let Toys Be Toys campaign since 2014, initially leading on the schools resources but gradually getting involved with social media, conferences and speaking publicly on behalf of the campaign. Specialising in her day job in digital media for pre-school and early years, she has a MA in Early Childhood and over 15 years’ experience in children’s and educational digital content, across Amazon, the BBC, Nickelodeon and Discovery. She has one son.

Brian Spurling, Let Toys Be Toys, The United Kingdom

Brian is a member of the Let Toys Be Toys campaign, working on their digital and data projects. For the last 15 years Brian has worked as a data architect - helping organisations make better use of data. He has experience in banking, insurance, retail, and the charity sector. He also volunteers as digital lead for the 50:50 Parliament Campaign and works with DataKind UK to help nonprofits benefit from data science.
